This is a project to make chairs using waste materials generated at construction sites.
There is a huge shortage of rest areas for workers at the construction site. So, they sit wherever they can rely on their bodies, whether it be materials or structures.
However, there are many cases where they sit on the floor or lie down and rest due to lack of even this.
공사장에서 발생되는 폐자재들을 활용하여 의자를 제작하는 프로젝트입니다.
건축현장에는 노동자들을 위한 쉴 곳이 턱없이 부족합니다. 그래서 자재든 구조물이든 몸만 기댈 수 있다면 그들은 어디든 앉는다. 하지만 이마저도 부족해 아예 바닥에 앉거나 누워 쉬는 경우가 많습니다.
Design
We propose a simple method of making chairs for these problems. Concrete is poured into waste paint containers, and waste materials are used on top of them.
The chair series, designed with some chairs such as backrests, seatboards, and legs, is not an incomplete chair, but an independent chair that fully utilizes the functions of each part.
We hope that this design method will help us move away from the stereotype framework, expand our perspective on sustainability, and advance to a sustainable society where there are no marginalized people.
이러한 문제들에 대해 간단한 의자를 만드는 방식을 제안합니다. 폐페인트통에 콘크리트를 붓고 그 위에 폐자재들을 활용하여 만드는 방식입니다. 등받이, 좌판, 다리 등 의자의 일부분이 활용되어 디자인된 의자시리즈는 온전하지 않은 의자가 아닌, 각 부분의 기능이 충분히 활용된 독립적인 의자입니다. 이러한 디자인 방식으로 고정관념의 틀에서 벗어나 지속가능성에 대한 시야를 확장시키고, 소외된 사람이 없는 더불어 사는 지속가능한 사회로 나아가는 데 도움이 되길 바랍니다.
